1What this Policy is

This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") sets out what you may and may not do with Snakein (the "Service"). It applies to everyone who uses the Service - the desktop overlay application, the web dashboard, and any related API - regardless of whether you're on a free balance, a paid credit package, or a promotional grant.

This Policy works alongside, and does not replace, our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Refund Policy. If this Policy conflicts with the Terms of Service on a point the Terms of Service addresses directly, the Terms of Service control; on everything else, this Policy controls. By creating an account, pairing a device, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to this Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2Who operates Snakein

Snakein ("Snakein," "we," "us," or the "Operator") is, as of the date above, operated by an individual proprietor rather than through a separate registered corporate entity.

3Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use Snakein. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you are using the Service for your own job search, not on behalf of a minor or of someone else who is not present and consenting to the session.

4What Snakein is for

Snakein is built for one purpose: helping a candidate get through their own live job interview - technical screens, live coding, system design, behavioral rounds, and similar hiring conversations - by listening to the call and reading the shared screen, and surfacing suggested talking points in a window that doesn't appear in the interviewer's screen share.

That's the entire intended use case. Anything outside it - see Section 5 - is out of scope, even if the Service is technically capable of it.

5Prohibited use

You may not use Snakein, or help anyone else use Snakein, for any of the following.

5.1Regulated exams, certifications, and academic assessments

Snakein is not for licensing exams, bar or medical board exams, professional certification exams, standardized tests, admissions tests, proctored exams of any kind, coursework, homework, or any other academic assessment. This is a hard line, not a judgment call we leave to you: these are contexts where the evaluation is typically governed by an integrity policy you agreed to in advance, and where a finding of dishonesty carries consequences we are not in a position to help you absorb - loss of a license, expulsion, or worse. If you're not sure whether a specific situation falls in this bucket, treat it as if it does.

5.2Any assessment governed by rules you agreed to, beyond interviews

More broadly, don't use Snakein in any evaluation, assessment, or competitive process - whatever its label - where you have separately agreed to rules that require you to complete it unaided, and where breaking that agreement carries legal, financial, academic, or professional consequences for you or for a third party. A standard job interview conducted by video call is the use case we built for and stand behind. A take-home test explicitly proctored under an honor code, a government exam, or a client-facing assessment you're contractually bound to complete solo are not.

5.3Illegal, fraudulent, or deceptive conduct

Don't use the Service to break the law, to defraud an employer, recruiter, or platform, to impersonate someone else, to fabricate credentials or work history that you present as fact during a hiring process, or to help someone else be interviewed in your place (or vice versa).

5.4Other people's rights, including consent to be recorded

You are solely responsible for how your use of Snakein interacts with the rights of everyone else on the call. In particular:

• Call recording and wiretapping law. Snakein transcribes and may record the audio of your interview calls. Many jurisdictions require the consent of some or all parties to a call before it can be recorded, and the rules differ by location and can depend on where each participant is physically located. Getting that consent, or determining that none is legally required, is entirely your responsibility - Snakein does not do this for you and using the Service is not itself a substitute for complying with recording-consent law.
• Confidentiality and IP. Don't use Snakein to capture, store, or share proprietary interview content (a company's internal coding problems, take-home materials, or other confidential material) in a way that breaches an NDA or confidentiality agreement you've signed, or that infringes someone else's intellectual property.
• Interviewer privacy. Don't use anything Snakein captures - audio, transcript, screenshots - to identify, target, harass, or publish information about an interviewer or anyone else who appeared on the call, beyond your own private use of that session record.

5.5Abuse of the Service itself

Don't do any of the following to Snakein's infrastructure, billing, or distribution:

• probe, scan, penetration-test, or attempt to bypass the security or invisibility mechanisms of the Service without our prior written authorization;
• reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the desktop application or backend, except to the extent a jurisdiction's law makes such a restriction unenforceable;
• scrape the Service, access it through unofficial or automated clients, or place load on it designed to disrupt it for other users;
• create multiple accounts to claim free credit grants, gift balances, or promotional/credit redemption codes more than once, or use automated tools to redeem such codes;
• submit false or fraudulent proof of payment for a manual top-up (including crypto top-ups); falsely dispute or attempt to reverse a payment while continuing to use the credits it bought; or otherwise attempt to obtain credit balance without paying for it;
• resell, sublicense, or provide access to your account or credit balance to anyone else as a standalone service, or use the Service to build a competing product.

5.6Misusing the AI itself

Don't attempt to jailbreak, prompt-inject, or otherwise manipulate the underlying AI models to produce content unrelated to interview assistance, to generate malicious code, or to extract the system prompts, proprietary logic, or training-adjacent data behind the Service.

5.7Sharing sessions publicly

Snakein lets you generate a shareable link to a session. You're solely responsible for what you choose to share and for making sure you have the right to share it - including any consent needed from other people whose voice or words appear in that session, and any confidentiality obligation you owe to the company that interviewed you. Don't use the sharing feature to publish someone else's personal information without their consent, or to harass, defame, or dox anyone.

6Your responsibility, and what we don't promise

Using an AI assistant on a call is not, by itself, illegal. It may violate a specific interview policy of the company you're talking to, and whether it does is a call only you can make - you know what you agreed to; we don't. You are solely responsible for complying with any interview, recruiting, or assessment policy you are bound by, and for the consequences if you choose to use Snakein somewhere it isn't welcome.

We also don't promise that Snakein is undetectable. Its invisibility to standard screen-sharing capture (Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and similar) is tested and works as described, but no tool can promise permanent immunity to every current or future detection method, and we're not going to tell you otherwise to make a sale. Use Snakein knowing that.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you use Snakein at your own risk with respect to any outcome of an interview or hiring process, and you agree that Snakein and its Operator are not responsible for employment, academic, legal, or professional consequences that follow from your choice to use - or to disclose that you used - the Service in a context where it wasn't permitted. This is an allocation of risk between you and us, not a statement that any particular use is or isn't allowed; Section 5 governs that.

7Monitoring and enforcement

We may review account activity, automated signals (such as unusual redemption or signup patterns), and reports from other users to detect violations of this Policy. We don't monitor the content of your interviews as a matter of course, and nothing in this section expands what we access beyond what our Privacy Policy describes.

If we determine, in our reasonable judgment, that you've violated this Policy, we may, without prior notice:

• warn you and require you to stop the violating conduct;
• suspend or permanently terminate your account and access to the Service;
• void promotional or gifted credit balances obtained through the violation; and
• deny a refund on purchased credit balance where the violation involved fraud, payment-dispute abuse, or abuse of the billing or redemption system described in Section 5.5, even where our Refund Policy would otherwise apply.

Termination for a Policy violation does not entitle you to a refund of any remaining paid credit balance, except as our Refund Policy separately provides for reasons unrelated to a violation.

8Reporting a violation

If you believe someone is misusing Snakein, or if you're a company that wants to flag a specific misuse of the Service in connection with your own hiring process, contact us through our contact page. Include as much detail as you can (account email if known, dates, description of the conduct) so we can look into it.

9Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as the Service changes. If we make a material change, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where required by law, provide additional notice. Continuing to use Snakein after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Policy.

10Governing law

This Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Policy that isn't otherwise resolved under a dispute-resolution clause in our Terms of Service will be subject to the competent courts of Costa Rica.

11If part of this Policy doesn't hold up

If any provision of this Policy is found unenforceable, the rest of the Policy remains in effect, and the unenforceable provision will be read as narrowly as needed to make it enforceable while preserving its intent. Our failure to enforce any part of this Policy on a given occasion isn't a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
